How to apply for a degree programme?

1. You are completing (or have completed) secondary education in Flanders or the Netherlands

Candidates who meet the general diploma requirements are admitted to the English bachelor programmes. Find all info about registration here.

2. You are an EEA-national or you have a valid residence permit for Belgium

STEP 1 | Get your admission letter to register

*Applications open for the fall semester 2021/22 (start September 2021)

Make sure you have these documents ready before filling in the online form (documents that are not written in the Latin alphabet need to be translated):

  • (a copy of) your residence permit or identity card
  • a scan of your diplomas/certificates 

STEP 2 | File assessment (+/- 2 weeks)
You can submit supporting documents and you will receive a letter of admission if approved.

STEP 3 | Register online
You will receive all the necessary information from our admissions team by mail!

3. You are a non-EEA-national without a valid residence permit for Belgium

STEP 1 | Get your registration certificate to apply for a student visa 

Make sure you have these documents ready before filling in the online form (documents that are not written in the Latin alphabet need to be translated):

  • (a copy of) the biopage of your passport
  • a scan of your diplomas/certificates 

After you have completed the online application you will receive an e-mail confirming your application.

STEP 2 | File assessment (+/- 2 weeks)

We will check whether your application meets the conditions to be admitted to the course programme.
This assessment may take a few weeks. You will receive a letter of admission if approved.

STEP 3 | Pay the tuition fee and enter the blocked account

If your file has been approved:

(1) You will receive a request to pay the tuition fee for one semester, i.e.

  • for a start in 2021/22: fixed cost of €1700 and the variable fee for 30 credits of €75: a total sum of €3950

(2) We will ask you to enter into the blocked account procedure.

Both conditions (tuition fee & proof of sufficient means) must be met before we can proceed with the registration.

STEP 4 | Apply for your student visa

After the payment of the tuition fee and blocked account has been confirmed by the financial department you will receive a registration certificate.
You will also receive a financial attestation which will help you obtain a student visa (long type D)

STEP 5 | Register online
You will receive all the necessary information from our admissions team by mail!

* If you fail to enrol (e. g. cancellation, no visa) the tuition fee and the blocked account payment (minus €100 administrative fee) will be reimbursed.
