SEinHE - Developing Social Entrepreneurial Skills in Higher Education

SEinHE

SEinHE-project is an Erasmus+ strategic partnership project for developing social entrepreneurship education in five countries. SEinHE-project aims to raise awareness about social entrepreneurship and its benefits around higher education institutions’ community and in the wider range. The project is led by Kaunas University of Applied Sciences in Lithuania, and project partners with Thomas More are LAB University of Applied Sciences from Finland, Rezekne Academy of Technologies (RTA) from Latvia, and University of Nicosia (EDEX - Educational Excellence Corporation Limited) from Cyprus.

First of all the project studies the competence gaps related to social entrepreneurship in five participating institutions and their regions. This knowledge is important for the next step: creating methodological approach and learning contents. This knowledge is useful for working for the main objective of the project: to raise awareness about social entrepreneurship and its benefits for teachers, students and society. The project develops a training program about social entrepreneurship for teachers in Lithuania, Latvia, Cyprus, Finland and Belgium.

The budget and timing

This project is granted a total budget of € 233.749,-, whence the budget share of Thomas More is € 43.717,-. The project will last two years, from November 2020 until October 2022

Objectives

The consortium collects datasets from five countries to understand social entrepreneurship education needs.
Thomas More´s role is to develop a training program about social entrepreneurship for teachers.
The project organizes also international intensive programs about social entrepreneurship to students.
