About the speaker:

Tom Van der Heyden started the sourcing consulting firm S3 in 2003, with a mission to help Western companies start or improve their sourcing in China and other low-cost countries. Since then, the company has grown into a group and Tom also shares his experience and knowledge with management students in business schools and universities in Europe, Latin America and Asia.

About the seminar:

Based on the experience of procurement specialists and some very appropriate statistics, we will first examine the concept of global sourcing, how relevant it is as part of supply chain management and where to find the best deals.

Geographically, we will go over the entire low-cost market, find out who is strong in what and where it is worth sourcing just that part, machine or batch of t-shirts, without losing sight of sustainability and ethics.
