About the speaker: Leentje De Leeuw left for Chicago in 2014 and started as a city guide there in 2015. Meanwhile, she guides more than 500 guests a year from Europe and the US there in English, Dutch and French. Together with three other Belgian women, she was at the cradle of Via Americana, a collective of now eight Belgian guides in eight US cities. She is also editor-in-chief of several tourism publications in Chicago and works as a Trans-Atlantic business consultant. Leentje graduated in 1999 from what was then Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen.
