What to expect

Our ten-days summer school on diabetes aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of this critical issue. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on workshops, group discussions, and talks from experts, you will:

  • Gain insight into the latest developments in diabetes treatment.
  • Put on a lab coat and determine diabetes parameters in patient samples
  • Explore the impact of lifestyle choices and environmental factors on diabetes prevalence.
  • Learn about cutting-edge technologies used in diabetes management.
  • Network with students and experts from various countries, fostering international collaboration.
  • Experience vibrant and culturally rich cities in Belgium.

It's possible to obtain 3 ECTS for this Summer School. Please contact your home coordinator beforehand to see if it can be validated at your home institution.

This summer school is open to undergraduate students from all academic backgrounds interested in science, healthcare, public health, and related fields. If you have a passion for understanding and addressing diabetes, this programme is for you!  Ask your international office for advice regarding scholarschips.
