What

The Learning Network Heart Failure began in 2019 with the support of the fund dr. Daniël De Coninck, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation. It aims to bring together projects from different regions to learn from each other by exchanging experiences and best practices.

We have experienced that the Learning Network helps to support or accelerate complex projects. In a next step, we want to scale up integrated heart failure care in new Flemish/Belgian regions. We focus on patient education for chronic heart patients, with integrated telemonitoring. In addition to care providers, we also want to give students in the basic training the tools and knowledge to improve heart failure care.

Training

Nurses and midwives who want to receive further training about heart failure can follow a series of lessons at the Thomas More campus in Turnhout from November 2023. This training offers theoretical knowledge but also practical hands-on days.
