What

FootPath is an O&O project (Vlaio) in collaboration with Materialise, Materialise Motion and Spronken orthopedics. The goal is to introduce personalized insoles on a large scale in the market. Designing and manufacturing the personalized insoles must be evidence-based and cost-effective.

Scan technology will be combined with clinical/orthopedic knowledge of the design process, to automate this process. This will result in building blocks for the sole design that allow enough customization to meet the needs of the patient.

Our role

Mobilab & Care will bring in knowledge about evidence-based clinical practices and translate them into a graph structure. We will also subject the insoles of our project partners to mechanical tests.
