Jef Van Baelen

Jef Van Baelen studied Germanic Languages at Ghent University and the Journalism Masterclass at Erasmus University College Brussels. In 2004 he joined Knack as a journalist, specializing in sports, science and consumer topics. He coordinated special editions for Knack, including one written by journalism students. In 2020 he was nominated for the Belfius Press Awards with an article about the decline of small football clubs. He moderated public debates and presented a traveling news program in local cultural centers.

Since June 2023, Jef has been working part-time for Mobilab & Care as a communication officer. One of the few certainties in life is that we get older and sooner or later need care. Jef wants to share the interesting and very useful research of Mobilab & Care with the general public.
