What

The digital hubs are regional Voka offices where an entrepreneur can go with questions about digitization and in particular about new data-driven digital technologies. Each Flemish province has one. With this support, an SME gets guided access to existing test infrastructure at one of the 28 knowledge institutions. Thomas More is one of those institutions in the Antwerp region.

With the help of that test infrastructure, a company can test products in realistic conditions and bring them to market faster. SME's pay 30% of the cost price. The remaining 70% are borne by EFRO and the Flemish government.

What are the possibilities of AI? Of sensor technology? Cloud storage? Data visualization? Data analytics? Automation? APIs? Our DigiHubs have the answers.

Goal

With this call, the ERDF program aims to make the extensive knowledge and expertise available at our Flemish knowledge institutions more accessible and applicable to SMEs. For that reason, it is an explicit policy objective to enable as many SMEs as possible to take steps forward in digitalization through an accessible approach. ERDF stands for the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is one of five structural and investment funds to strengthen economic, social and territorial cooperation in the European Union.

Our role

Mobilab & Care is one of the knowledge institutions that guide and advise SMEs in the Province of Antwerp with regard to their specific digitalization needs. In addition to Mobilab & Care, other Thomas More research groups also offer their services within this program (such as Licalab, KCE, Radius, Creative & Innovative Business, Smart Tech & Design).
