Every academic year you will have to prove your financial solvency for the renewal of your residence permit.  Thomas More offers a blocked account procedure not only for new students but also for returning students or even graduates.  Want to sign up for this service? Consult our student portal.

A new academic year...

Prefer to stay in your room? Contact your landlord as soon as possible to arrange the renewal of your contract.
In for a change? If you are changing residence, please read our tips and tricks on the student portal and don't forget anything!

Make sure you are still in order with all insurances. 

• (Civil) Third Liability Insurance:  This insurance policy provides coverage for damage you cause to third parties during your private life in Belgium.  The policy has to be renewed each academic year by you before the due date! The cost is € 10 per year for the initial registration and € 5 per extra year.  The policy may be purchased through Student Services on every campus.
• Other insurances like Health Insurance - Renter's Insurance - Travel Insurance ... check it all out on the student portal

We understand that you have a lot of questions concerning the extension of your residence permit.  Don't worry! We have got you covered on our student portal!

Depending on wether or not you have resit-exams, you can re-enrol at different times.  No worries, you will find all the details on our student portal.

Our student cards are sustainable.  So you keep the same student card as long as you are registered at Thomas More. 
No need to pick up a new one!  Your card will be updated automatically when you register for the new academic year. Convenient, right?

Thomas More offers a non-monetary scholarship to international non-EEA students registered in a bachelor's degree, who pay the increased tuition fee and do well on their exams.  This means that you can get a discount on the tuition fee via the merit-based scholarship or tuition fee waiver.  The grant will be awarded only upon request and if you meet all the conditions.  Don't miss the deadline to sign up for it!  More details on our student portal.
