Algorithm development and AI

Kurt De Wit graduated from the Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen in 1998 as an industrial engineer. After a short career as an electrical engineer in industry, he chose the path of software development in 2000. Since then he has been professionally active, first as a web developer, later as a project manager, among others, and since 2011 as a researcher at Mobilab & Care.

Passionate about the Java ecosystem and driven by an eagerness to learn, over the years he has accumulated a lot of knowledge around back- and front-end development, hardware and software solutions, process analysis, open source solutions, etc. With an analytical and critical mind and his helicopter view, Kurt designs and develops robust, flexible and future-oriented technological ICT solutions within Mobilab & Care.

His research focuses on working out solutions for healthcare. Themes such as "technology supporting medical decision making", "privacy preserving personal data sharing" and "event driven architectures" are among his favorite topics of conversation. Thinking along on innovative solutions excites Kurt.
