Technology will always evolve and change. Without humans adapting with it, all that technology will soon become unusable. I am interested in the link between those two elements. How do you make sure people can jump on board quickly? How do you translate technical jargon into human communication? I strongly believe in the importance of getting this right in education. It is at school that the first step towards technological advancement begins. Without education, the gap between tech savvy and the effective use of technology will only widen.

In my studies, I explored the educational landscape in teacher training. I was also trained more technologically in a master's degree in AI. In my professional life thereafter, I kept dancing on the border between the two areas of interest. I worked for Thomas More, KU Leuven and AP Hogeschool in a variety of positions, always with inclinations towards the IT side. From these different avenues, as a researcher I can always start with a broad view. Because I understand both sides of the picture, I am the ideal intermediary who can encourage users to start using new technologies.
