Kim Helsen is a researcher at LiCalab. Her daily tasks range from drafting questionnaires, supporting co-creation sessions, analysing research data to writing (scientific) reports.

About Kim

Kim Helsen studied Clinical Psychology at KUL and then obtained a joint PhD in Psychology at KUL and UGent. Her main research interest was in the role of observational learning in the development of pain-related apprehension.

After a six-year stint as a counselling psychologist at the mutual health service, she renewed her passion for research by joining LiCalab in January 2022. Kim now concentrates on practice-based research, focusing on health technology and new collaborative models.
