Overview
Join our STAR-Track exchange semester. STAR, Specialist Track for Ambitious Rookies, is a challenging exchange semester for students who want to achieve More. The unique educational concept focuses on interdisciplinary and intercultural learning to enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills and mindset and to develop them into globally aware citizens and future-proof professionals. STAR-Track unites international students from different disciplines (technology, business, sports, social work and orthopedics) and offers them high-impact learning based on real life challenges in an international context. The courses run from mid-September until the end of December, exam period will be organized in January. The STAR-Track semester consists of a total of 30 ECTS: 20 ECTS professional skills combined with 10 ECTS future-proof skills of your students’ choice.

Professional skills
Coaching

- Life is a team sport – it is impossible to get ahead without taking others along. Performing optimally, both professionally and personally, implies constant interaction with others. Communication and collaboration are therefore essential. This is where coaching skills can make the difference, for you and the people around you, be it colleagues, employees, students, family, friends... No matter the context, coaching is about your desire to truly understand others and to encourage their own growth.
- To support you in this endeavour this course will give you the opportunity to acquire the basic coaching skills, including how to structure a coaching session. You will then apply these basics with a focus on personal values and talents, talent development and shared leadership.
Sports Management & Communication

- 3 ECTS
- Communication skills for business and professional purposes are practiced.
Practice enterprise sports management with focus on Active and Healthy Lifestyle
- Code Z14435
- 12 ECTS
- The students bring (in group) a complex and relevant issue linked to the professional practice to a successful end. They work on this independently during project days with minimal support from a coach.
- The student can apply for one of the following options:
- Students work out a project at the request of the professional field.
- Students bring in their own external partner and assignment from the field.
- Students work out their own start-up story.
Conditions
There are no specific pre-requisites for this exchange programme.
Exam regulations
The courses run from mid-September until the end of December, exam period will be organized during the semester and at the end of December.

Become a STAR @ Thomas More
STAR-track is a multi-disciplinary exchange semester in English. Team up with students with a different cultural and study background. A STAR semester consists of a total of 30ECTS which combines 15ECTS professional skills in your field of expertise (business) with 15 ECTS future proof skills of your choice.
