Application Procedure

1. You are completing (have completed) secondary education in Flanders | the Netherlands

Direct enrolment

Only candidates with a (Flemish) ASO-diploma or a (Dutch) VWO-diploma can enrol directly for all full (three-year) programmes. Find all info about registration here.

Enrolment with a B2-certificate

Other candidates who meet the general diploma requirements can enrol with a B2-certificate proving they meet the language conditions. You can register for a B2-certificate via this form.

2. You are an EEA-national or you have a valid residence permit for Belgium

You will need a letter of admission to register. You can apply to start in the spring semester 2018 (starting mid-February) via this form. Applications for 2018/19 will be opened in February.

The admission commission will check whether you meet the conditions to be admitted to the course programme. This assessment may take a few weeks.

Prepare your documents before filling in the online form:

  • You will be asked to upload a copy of your residence permit or identity card.
  • You will be asked to upload a scan of your diplomas/certificates. For documents that are not in English, Dutch, French or German: please add a certified translation.

3. You are a non-EEA-national without a valid residence permit for Belgium

You will need a registration certificate. You can apply for the fall semester 2018 (starting mid-September) via this form. Applications for spring 2018 are closed.

After payment of an application fee of €100 the admission commission will check whether you meet the conditions to be admitted to the course programme. This assessment may take a few weeks.

If your file has been approved you will receive a request to pay the tuition fee and enter into the blocked account procedure. After the payments have been confirmed by financial services you will receive a registration certificate, and a financial attestation which you will need to apply for a student visa (long type D).

  • If your file is approved, the application fee will be deducted from the registration fee. Please note: the application fee is no guarantee for admission and is non-refundable for candidates who do not enrol in the degree course.
  • If you fail to enrol (e. g. cancellation, no visa) the tuition fee (minus application fee) and payment into the blocked account (minus administrative fee) will be reimbursed.
