Step by Step to Net Zero

Lecture

An ambitious strategy is necessary for achieving the climate goals. Innovations and solutions for reducing CO2 can help you towards Net Zero in the long term. On the short term there are already many things that can be done, the so called low-hanging-fruit. For many years sustainability was not the focus point and now companies are obliged to start working on it, even upper management bonuses are related to achieving sustainability targets. But what are the next steps to take, what can you as an individual and as a company do to reduce your impact and to become climate neutral? An issue that confronts us every day, both individually and collectively. A seminar you do not want to miss!

Speaker
Willem Melis, Carbon advisor

Willem has a Bachelor in Business/Corporate Communication from our school, and continued with a Bachelor in International Marketing (HOGENT). Working for the Belgian high speed train carrier Thalys, Willem and his international team were responsible for Thalys’ Business Sales in 4 countries. During this time he helped companies transform their travel policies into sustainable policies. After 10 years, Willem took the challenge of founding the Belgian office of Climate Neutral Group, a Dutch environmental consultancy firm. Acting as Carbon Advisor and Country Manager, Willem is helping companies to change behaviour and drive sustainable decisions. These discussions result in long term relationships and focuses on all three scopes of responsibility.
