Jorien Smets holds a PhD from KU Leuven and wrote a doctoral thesis on 'cognitive processes in depression and post-traumatic stress disorder'. As a researcher, she was involved in several projects of the expertise centre People and Well-being.

About Jorien

After completing her PhD (KU Leuven, 2013), Jorien Smets started as a researcher at Thomas More. Initially, she conducted research in line with her PhD. Afterwards, she became involved in various projects: 'Able to include', which focused on the integration of people with a mental disability, research on the e-cig and the 'Stay at Z' project on retention in the care sector.
